Halle (Saale)

Halle’s claim to fame today is surely the house of Händel. But those who care to visit this old city in the eastern part of Germany, should know that in the past it has been one of the most important cultural centres with a famous University and many libraries.
The visitor can admire the central Market square with the high bell-tower and the statue of Händel.
If you step into the composer's house, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the rooms dedicated to his years in Italy and England as well as by the stage where the man himself presents his best known operas.
