The city of Nafplion, also known as Nauplie, in the Peloponnese, has a well-preserved historical center and attracts many tourists. Its imposing fortress Palamidi, the small island of Bourtzi as well as its main square of Syntagma are worth visiting. Not to mention the innumerable cafes and hotels on the sea-front.
